The INCLAVI project reached a significant milestone in June 2024 with the completion of the “D4.2 Certification agreements, templates, signatures” report under the leadership of ENAT. This comprehensive document establishes the framework for international recognition of the INCLAVI curriculum through a rigorous certification process.

The certification will validate the quality of the program’s structure, management, content, assessment methods, and practical applications—a critical step for widespread adoption by Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and aviation industry stakeholders.

Partnership with Global Certification Provider

In a major development, Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, the INCLAVI project coordinator, has signed a formal “Letter of Intent” with EFMD Global, establishing a partnership that will span the remaining 14 months of the project implementation period. The collaboration aims to achieve full course certification, significantly enhancing the curriculum’s credibility and impact.

“This partnership represents our commitment to creating training materials that meet the highest international standards,” said Namrata Sethi, a representative from the INCLAVI consortium. “Working with EFMD Global will ensure our curriculum receives the recognition it deserves.”

EFMD Global brings substantial expertise to the partnership through its management of the EOCCS Online Course Certification System. Currently, this prestigious system has certified 61 courses across 19 institutions in 11 countries, establishing it as a global benchmark for online learning quality.

Looking Ahead: The Path to Certification

With over three decades of experience collaborating with more than 400 partner institutions worldwide, EFMD Global specializes in internationalizing higher education, strengthening quality assurance, and promoting innovation in educational design. The organization’s focus on supporting entrepreneurship in Higher Education Institutions through curriculum development aligns perfectly with INCLAVI’s innovative approach.

In the coming months, INCLAVI partners will work closely with EFMD Global on a series of strategic actions designed to align the training course with certification requirements. This collaborative process will ensure that the final curriculum equips airport personnel and students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills for providing exceptional service to persons with disabilities.

The successful certification will represent a significant advancement in aviation accessibility training, potentially transforming service standards throughout the industry and improving travel experiences for millions of passengers with disabilities worldwide.
